Rich and Beth Mewborn, the proud owners of Gordon’s Marine, have been dedicated to serving the boating community with passion and excellence for over a decade. After acquiring A-1 Marine (now Gordon’s Marine Lavonia) in late 2010, the couple immediately set to work transforming the business into a hub for all things marine. They invested heavily in upgrading the facilities, modernizing operations, and building a talented team of marine experts. In 2012, they purchased Gordon’s Marine in Hartwell, a trusted name in the industry, known for its exceptional customer service and commitment to quality. In 2020 they started up Lake Hartwell Marine Restoration in Hartwell, allowing them to meet the needs of many of their customers who were looking for restoration and customization of their boats , and in 2024 they became a preferred vendor for Sunlife Marina – Hartwell, providing on site and remote service as well as stocking their showroom with Bennington Pontoons and Tritoons.

As they were investing in facilities, they also worked to build the best teams in the marine industry as well. Today, they have certified marine mechanics, experienced restoration technicians, and strong support staff and systems to ensure all customers’ needs are met, including sales, service, winterization, cleaning/detailing, transport/launching, and restoration. They realize that many customers lead busy lives, and so Gordon’s Marine focuses on providing full turn key care of your watercraft so that you spend your time on the lake with friends and family. With a focus on family values, customer satisfaction, and a deep understanding of what it means to enjoy life on the water, Rich and Beth continue to lead Gordon’s Marine as a premier destination for marine sales, service, and adventure on Lake Hartwell. They remain committed to fostering relationships with their customers and helping them create lasting memories on the water.
